And honestly, why all the G’s? Isn’t one enough?

Not exactly. Essential 3G, 4G, 5G and the soon to come 6G represents how the wireless mobile network systems have evolved over the years of mobile technologies ways of communicating whilst you are on the go. Us being in the 5th generation of the evolution has seen massive improvements of mobile networks unlike when it was first implemented back in the 1980s with 1G

This technology over the years has had to improve on access speeds mainly, allowing users to stream various forms of data which includes the high quality video conferences, streaming videos and audio, also downloading large files whilst on the go. It has made forms of digital communication from various parts of the world and giving that illusion of being able to talk to someone over the internet in real time with high quality.

However, it’s still limited for access in certain areas especially in the rural areas as it is costly to set up. Therefore you would only be able to access this technology in highly developed regions. Furthermore, devices relying on 5G have issues of shorter battery life and overheating being very prominent, not making this an ideal nor attractive upgrade, as 4G devices were very much optimized for this technology
